2009 Local Winners Advance to National Education Contest

Catholic students from Council Bluffs who recently placed first in the city portion of the Catholic Daughters education contest had their entries sent to the state competition. The students in grades 4-12 creatively produced written, drawn, and photographed expressions of how God works in their lives. They could choose among six categories to submit entries. The themes for the contest were "God's Gifts in My Life" and "The Gifts I Give to Others."

"We are so proud of the students from Council Bluffs who had state entries. Our court had the most entries of any other court in the state!" explains Mariann Hilderbrand, court contest coordinator.
