Charitable Projects

LifeSaver Project

The State LifeSaver Project will take place in April with collections from the four Council Bluffs area parishes. 60% of the collected donations stay local to support the good works of the Phoenix House Domestic Violence Shelter. 40% goes to the Diocese for other domestic violence shelters and prevention programs.

One Million Rosaries for Unborn Babies

Our court participated in this event from May 6-8, a 3-day spiritual battle for an end to the surgical and non-surgical killing of unborn human persons. We did for the unborn babies that which they cannot do for themselves---prayed.

Birthright Baby Shower

Members broght items to our May 9th meeting. Birthright is a local organization that helps pregnant women choose life. Items needed are infant clothes up to 24 months, diapers and wipes, crib sheets and blankets, and maternity clothes.

Court Supports Parish RCIA Programs

In the fall of 2010 our court chose to support our local parish RCIA programs by purchasing Bibles for each adult studying to become Catholic. A special note was attached in each Bible wishing God's blessing from Catholic Daughters Court St. Anthony #330.

In celebration of Make a Difference Day 2010, our court members donated items for care packages for our shut in members and visited with these women when they delivered the gift bags. Bags were filled with goodies, candy, fruit, juice, nuts, bread, as well as some miscellaneous items. This was a beautiful way to "make a difference" in the lives of our members.

Stations of the Cross Project

Our court has supported the Stations of the Cross project at Saint Albert school through the efforts of Boy Scout Matthew Veit. We donated $500 for station #14 in honor of our blessed Mother.

Ronald McDonald House donation

Our 2010-2011 court charitable project through our monthly meetings is to donate pop tops to the Ronald McDonald House in Omaha. At each meeting, members will bring their collection of pop tops to add to the court collection. The Ronald McDonald House takes the donated tops to the recycling center for cash to support their program.

Life Saver Sunday Collection Benefits Phoenix House

As part of our Charitable Projects program, the Catholic Daughters of Court St. Anthony #330 collected donations from the Council Bluffs parishes for Life Saver Sunday. Parishioners donated over $1,500!
60% of that goes directly to our Phoenix House Domestic Violence Shelter in Council Bluffs. The remaining 40% goes to the Iowa Catholic Daughters to be disbursed through the 4 Iowa dioceses for their Domestic Violence programs.
Thank you to everyone who helped with the collection and who donated so generously to help us stop domestic violence.

Court Supports Parish First Communion Programs

As one of our court's youth programs, we designate funds in our budget to donate to the five local parishes for their First Communion programs.
Recently the following donations were made (according to the number of students in each parish's First Communion class): Queen of Apostles $210; St. Patrick's $117; St. Peter's $54; Holy Family $36; Our Lady of Carter Lake $15.
It is our hope that contributing to First Communion programs will show these students how important we believe this time is for them and how we join in their celebration! God bless them all!
